Neither Here Nor There

About a ten minute walk from my apartment its an agricultural park. Complete with cows, chickens, fields and trees, it is a strange place. Surrounded by apartment buildings, 'beehives' they are called, thousands of windows and balconies facing the park---one feels watched even as one feels alone in the country. The smell of cow manure on certain mornings is disconcerting---for the views from my apartment windows are all of streets, cars and buildings.
